Hi all,

I applied for my PGWP in May and got refusal letter in November. Since 180 days had passed, I'm not eligible to reapply for another PGWP. On the letter it said that I may apply for restoration within 90 days.

My question is what do I restore my status to? Is it student or worker or visitor? My study permit expired long time ago so can I still restore as a student? And after that, do I apply for visitor visa to stay? IRCC website is really confusing and I'm lost...

Really appreciate your help!

What was the reason for the refusal? I think we are in the same situation right now. I’ve been thinking of same. If someone is to restore, what are we restoring to? Study, Visitor or Worker?

I was a part time student for 1 semester and didn't attach a letter of explanation in my PGWP. The instruction about restoration status is extremely vague and now I can't submit new PGWP application because the refusal letter came too late...

Same here. In my own case, I was a full time student but didn’t take courses in some semesters of which I obtained leave from the school which had passed 150 days. So, that affected me.

If you have a good reason for being part-time and documentation I would apply for reconsideration as well as applying to restore your status. You don’t have anything to lose at this point.
