I am preparing the forms for my parents’ restoration of visitor status. We are within the 90 days of the date mentioned in the letter we received when their application to extend their visitor record was refused.
On the IMM 5708 form
Question 7 - Current status in Canada. Should it be “Other” and then specified “out of status” and enter From date the date they lost their status?
Background information - question 2a and 2b
2a)Have you remained beyond the validity of your status in Canada?
2b)Have you been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?
Should we say yes to both due to their refused application to extend their visitor stay for which we are now applying to restore status?
