Hello everyone,

I applied for restoration of status because my PGWP was refused for not attaching the letter from college. I reapplied but I only paid the fee of $200 i.e. only for restoration of status, but I was told today that I had to pay extra $155 for work permit as well. I was told by CIC that its too late now and your application might be refused on the basis of non payment of fee. I applied on March 25, 2016 and currently the applications as of March 8, 2016 are reviewed.

Is there anything, I can do to fix the situation??

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

If CIC told you that, it shall be that.
Just hope that your application "might be" approved.

If they reached out to you, they would probably approve it, because why contact you if they are going to reject you?

Good luck.

My study permit expired on November 31, 2015.

Just to be clear

Your Study permit expired - November 31, 2015
You applied 2nd PGWP - March 25, 2016

When did you apply 1st PGWP ? and when did it got rejected ?

If your SP expired, and you did not apply before expiry with all required docs, i don't think you qualify to apply again for PGWP. At least for now. You can apply for study permit again and apply PGWP, you only get once PGWP.

You did not meet following conditions :

1) You must have a valid study permit when you apply for the work permit.

2) Apply for a work permit within 90 days of receiving written confirmation (for example, a transcript or an official letter) from your institution indicating that you have met the requirements for completing your academic program

What's your nationality ?

My study permit expired on November 30 2015 and I applied for my first PGWP on November 18, 2015. My PGWP was refused for not attaching the letter from school and officer told me to attach letter from school and apply for restoration of status within 90 days of that letter and I did so on March 25, 2016.

Based on the timeline, I assume you applied by paper. If so, you can pay the additional fee and send receipt by carrier with a letter of explanation and hope for the best. Really not much else you can do since you already passed the 90 days deadline.

I sent the receipt and CIC received it yesterday i.e. July 4, 2016. I checked online processing times and it said that application sent until March 12 are being processed and I mailed my application on March 25, 2016.
