Restoration of Status

Hi,

I applied for restoration of status after being denied an open work permit due to not having a PR submission application number, which I do have now. I applied for restoration of status saying I have got my Alberta provincial nominee with the submission of IMM5802e (Offer of Employment to a Foreign National Exempt from a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA))from the employer. My employer has set a deadline of 4 months if my status does not come until then, they will withdraw IMM5802e from the application and find a new employee. So what are my options then? What if my employer withdraws the form what can I do next to stay back and get a status?

You'll have to wait and hope your restoration of status is processed in time.

If your restoration of status is not processed in time and your employer withdraws his support, you will have to find another employer who is willing to go through the LMIA process and/or willing to support your nomination.

If by any chance your restoration of status is refused, then you will have to leave Canada. There will be no way for you to remain in Canada and obtain status again.

i have similar problem and need help- question is can i apply for status restoration and post graduate work permit o line - if yes - how to do this - detail as follows -
i had applied for pgwp after completion of study at Canada - received refusal letter after 4.5 months from the date of application - cic officer suggested for status restoration. with in 90 days - now i want to apply ONLINE for status restoration and Post graduation work permit - can some one please help me and suggest how to do this - when i am trying for reference code questioner is asking for status - there is no option of status restoration - what i should select ? student ? reference code is required to proceed further with online application.

my application was refused as i have done mistake in attachment - in place of passport by error i have attached another document- i have sent passport by express mail to cic - AB and through case specific inquiry also 21 days before the date of refusal letter. there is no reply from cic against my case specific inquiry

My request to forum to help me and suggest as soon as possible - as i am confused i request forum to guide me and help please - thanks

yes you can apply for restoration of status & work permit, please note you will have to pay for restoration of status and the fee for work permit.

If you are unable to do both online, as you would have to send both documents together I would suggest you do it by paper and send it express mail to Vegreville
