Hello,

I am currently on my 90 day restoration period after my work permit extension was denied.

Here is my history.

1) I came to Canada in 2012 as a student for a Full Time program with a valid study permit.
2) After graduation I applied for post graduate work permit which got approved. With that I worked in Canada for a Year.
3) When my work permit was about to end, I applied for a work permit extension with a valid job offer but without an LMO(Labor Market Opinion).
I continued working under implied status.
4) On Nov 4, 2014 I got a rejection letter from CIC. The reason for rejection was lack of valid LMO. I was informed that I have 90 days to restore my status
to a worker/Student /Visitor.

I do not have a job offer currently or a program I want to Study. SO I am Left with restoring to a Visitor as my only option. I have about 40 days left.

1) what are the chances of my restoration plea being denied? and Why?
2) If I leave Canada without restoring my status will I have problems, when I return to Canada as a Student/Worker or Visitor.
(If it is safer to leave without applying for a restoration, I am prepared to do that)

Thank you so much for taking the time.

Hopefully you stopped working on November 4th when you received the rejection letter. If not, stop working immediately as you have been working illegally since November 4th and illegaly work could complicate any future applications.

1) No one can tell you what the chances are that your restoration request will be denied.
2) No - you won't have problems if you leave Canada without restoring our status.

Hello scylla,

Thank you so much for your reply.
I did stop working the day I got my rejection letter.
