I came to Canada in 2018 as a visitor. After 6 months, before my visitor’s visa expired I applied for a student visa. Unfortunately my student Visa was denied 2 months later in Feb. I was unaware I had to apply for “restoration” instead of extension and I filed an application for extension of my visitor’s visa. For obvious reasons, my application was refused and CIC notified me that I have about 50 days left to apply for my restoration. After collecting all documents and doing my research I applied for my restoration when there were about 10-15 days left in the 90 days period. Now, after 4 long months they’ve denied my restoration as well and have written that I should “leave Canada immediately” please guide me towards what’s the right thing to do. Any advice will be appreciated

Leave Canada. You now have no option.

Definitely leave Canada. Stay out for about a year and apply for a student visa from outside Canada.

If your status expired in February, you only had 90 days from that point to apply for Restoration.

You have no way of legalizing your stay within Canada. You need to leave. As you have overstayed for 7-8 months, you should remain out of Canada for awhile before trying to come again.
