Restoration of status - time is running out , please advise

Hello everyone- I am in the process of filling the form to restore my status in Canada.
Brief story
I have stayed more than 6 months in Canada but I have a temporary resident visa valid till 2017.
So do I have to just pay the restoration fee and fill up the form ?
I read it somewhere there one needs to pay another $100 for the visitor extension fee !
Does it apply in me case ??

Thank you but I am already in Canada, came here on TRV valid till 2017and it's been more than 6 months so now I have to restore my status ( hardly left with 90 days - close to deadline)
So my confusion is with my restoration form , do I also have to apply for extension of my temporary resident status ??

are you on a visitors visa? Why would you have to restore your status if you have a valid document?

were you working here? i know a friends mother also has a valid visitor visa till 2019 but she max you can stay is 6 months then she leaves the country. I think these are the rules.

If you restore your status, what are you restoring it as?

You need to restore your status. You can't extend something that doesn't exist anymore (you are OUT of status).
