I changed Universities and I did not know that I had to inform CIC, and just got to know that I had to inform and apply for a study permit change in conditions. My visa has a clause that says "required to study at the institution specified by the immigration officer".
I haven’t taking any real action yet, and I'm very scared to do anything due to fear of deportation. I do not want to go back to my country, and I doubt I even can at this point.

Can an Immigration lawyer help my case? Is there anyone you would recommend?

If you have changed from one DLI to another DLI, then you don,t need to inform CIC

bro if its high time better comtact a professsional,do you want to risk deportion just because you took advice on a matter thsi serious from a forum, rather than approaching a IMM laywer?

You know they can help better, why are you asking us if they can?

Some money or the risk of coming back home, you decide.

1. You are allowed to change school on a post secondary level.
2. You do not have to inform CIC anymore on changing schools. Rules modified.

Contact the international student department of your University for advice.

Good Luck

Contacted CIC they're telling me studying on that permit is invalid?
But the rules say that I don't need to get a new permit if I'm changing Universities.
