Restoration of status and EE

My work visa extension got rejected in December and my EE profile has 438 points as of now. LMIA is pending since August. The question I want to ask is about the worst case scenario. If my restoration doesn't go through or for any reason I have to go back, will my EE profile still be valid? How does EE work for people who have to leave Canada due to any given reason while they started the EE profile from within Canada? My EE profile is still valid for a few months.

Great, thanks. Also, while my restoration is in process and, looking at things positively, I get an ITA (with or without LMIA) soon, would I be able to apply for PR still and continue to live here?

hi dear,
you need to restore your status first it doesn't matter as visitor or worker. Because EE takes 6 months so you can not stay after your restoration finished. I recommend restore your status and then look for your points if you don't have enough then go for LMIA if possible.

Applying for PR has nothing to do you with your temporary status in Canada - that is, applying for PR does not give you the right to stay in Canada. And because you do not have a current work permit, you are not eligible for a BOWP.

You should apply to restore your status as a visitor. If later you get the LMIA, you can then apply to change your status from visitor to worker.
 
That's the plan. I am waiting on LMIA to get through before I have 5 weeks left in the 90 day deadline to apply for restoration, if it happens then I will reapply for the Work Permit and if not, then Visitor status.
