Hi dear members of this forum,
I got a correspondence by mail today asking me to submit the original birth certificate of my husband's mother in order to establish relationship between my husband and his uncle.
Though the interesting thing is I did sent this document to them from the very beginning but I guess they must have lost it or something. Anyways, today I sent it again.
However, there is a small problem. The mother of my husband passed away a long time ago and when she was alive, her birth certificate in the Philippines was never registered in the NSO ( National Statistics Office ). So, the only official proof we have is the copy of the birth certificate issued by the Civil Registrar Office in the city she was born.
I am not sure if the visa office will accept this one. I am so worried. If they don't accept, then I think we will get a rejection letter and our case will no longer be processed.
It's kind of sad because I was hoping to get medical requests by now. Why only now are they requesting this? They were in fact supposed to contact us by October 30, 2009 and they were late. Anyways, can anyone tell me what they think?
Any one experienced a similar situation and still got their visas? do you think there is still hope?
Kind Regards,
