Hi Guys,

I have a question. I am planning to open RESP a/c .But i am the sponsor for my wife and daughter as Permanent Residents(they are in canada now).I know that i should refrain from receiving any social assistance.Just want to know if i can apply for "Canada Education Savings Grant(CESG)" & "Additional(CESG) Canada Education Savings Grant" program.

Also does CCTB,UCCB qualify as social assistance.

One more question.Since my wife and daughter landed in November 2013.And i will open resp a/c in 2014 .Can i use the unused balance from 2013(retro active) in 2014.Like TFSA for example
