I was asked (sponsor) to resign and book a ticket while my husband has not received his visa yet. Does this make sense?? We have a baby together and i cant move on my own. Also can i book a ticket in like 5 months from now or does it have to be in the very nea future??

Was this requested by the visa office processing your partner's PR application?
If so, it may be that they do not believe that you, as the sponsor, intend to return to Canada permanently to live there. If you are currently in the Middle East somewhere, this is not unusual.

Yes I am in the Middle East!! And I can't even reach them to ask, what date do you think I need to book?

I can't comment on dates specifically but I would think that it would be appropriate for the dates to be very soon after the anticipated completion date for the application. Regarding the resignation, you might have to submit something more formal to your employer's HR department, such as a notification of intended resignation subject to a successful PR application.

The proper resignation part I did, its the ticket part that I dont understand!!

So book flight tickets with a flight date in a few months time. You can get 'flexible' tickets that allow you change the actual flight dates and either bring it forward or push it back.

If they want me to go there before my husband, maybe they want me to stay there?
Looks like they are tightening up on this one, perhaps a one-way ticket is what they are looking for.

When we did this a year or two back with my UK wife, we had a two way ticket and simply didn't use the return portion as the two way tickets was cheaper than one way! Maybe CIC have requirements that are 'country specific' on this????/

Yes, they became very picky, the thing is I deserve elaboration rather than just "purchase confirmed plane tickets" , and I am not getting any, the office in Canada was way more helpful than the one in here, they don't even reply to emails!!!
