Note: please ignore the troll posts which are a distraction -- there are substantive issues of actual significance for some applicants related to questionnaires.
We received a random "Quality Assurance Exercise And Request For Additional Evidence", even though there have been no trips abroad since landing a. CIT0205 (11-2017) E - Physical Presence Questionnaire - Quality Assurance Exercise, which is far more in depth than the CIT0171 (07-2014) E.
Thank you for this. This clarifies some important aspects of this process. I will make a separate post discussing this in more detail.
First, in this post I will address the process more generally and, for the most part, focus on how this kind of information is important and helpful.
I obviously overlooked earlier reporting from
alsaour which similarly referred to the previous version of this form, and which is another relatively recent report of a QC -- RQ:
The questionnaire form I got it named/ PHYSICAL PRESENCE QUESTIONNAIRE - QUALITY ASSURANCE EXERCISE "CIT 0205 (05-2017) E" and not the old link you mention it, for the a consent form you asked me was about / HISTORY OF ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES IN THE UNITED STATES, and they want documents that support my residence for the last 4 years in Canada.
Except obviously this is NOT RQ. This is a PPQ, as in "Physical Presence Questionnaire."
One of the questions I have is whether this is entirely separate from what I would describe as
for-cause questionnaires.
As I previously observed, the most recent copy of the Residence Questionnaire form I have is the CIT 0171 (07-2014) E version. It makes more sense to me that this form, which is titled "Residence Questionnaire," has been replaced by a form titled "Physical Presence Questionnaire," since qualifying for citizenship has been based on a
physical presence requirement since June 2015,
NOT a residency requirement. Unfortunately, as I previously noted, many reports in a forum like this tend to be imprecise and the terminology used tends to lag behind the changes made (we continue to see references to communications from and actions by "CIC" even though it has been approximately two years since CIC even existed, replaced by "IRCC").
In particular, I suspect many reports about getting "RQ" may be in reference, rather, to "PPQ."
Thus, one question is whether
for-cause questionnaires are also renumbered and are also a version of the CIT 0205.
For many this level of detail may seem to be overkill. But for those of us whose activity here is aimed at providing some well-informed, carefully acquired, actual information, and some analysis including insights into how these processes actually work (as best we can figure this out), the details are important. In the past I did ATI requests (access to information the public is entitled to, rather than the ATIP requests applicants make to find out information about their particular case) in an effort to keep up with as much as we could learn about what happens behind the curtains, and indeed that is the source for various copies of previously utilized RQ and RQ-lite forms I have. I have not kept up with that level of research in the last couple years.
Our collective understanding of the process, and in particular of the various side-roads some applicants may encounter, is dependent on quality reporting from participants in the forum.
It would be very helpful if any other participants who have gotten what they have called "RQ" could specifically report the title of the form, and its formal identification (such as CIT 0171 or CIT 0205 or CIT 0520, and so on), that will contribute significantly to our general understanding AND importantly will help to put into useful context other information related to this. Obviously, the more details given, the better.
