If your flight from Canada was supposed to be at 11: 30 pm 9 July which is shown on your ticket but it got delayed by 60 minutes to 12:30 after mid night on 10 July after you checked in after mid night. Should you consider the day July 10th in Canada?

Also many flights leave late in the night from Toronto and the new day starts while the plane is still in the airspace of Canada - can we consider the new day as in Canada as the plane was still over Canadian land?

You may think I am picky but sometimes one day counts for the 730 days

I would err on the side of caution and not count the scenario towards RO. The records CIC has access to may not show the late departure.

I would definitely not count the Canadian airspace scenario towards your RO.

You can count the time you are on Canadian Land as Your presence in Canada . Even any part and duration of a day is calculated a one Day"

In theory, yes, but in practice, it would only make a difference of at most two days, and one should not apply to renew their card with just two day buffer anyway (if you have 760+ days, it would not matter whether you count the departure date as a day in Canada or not). As scylla said, it's better to be safe than sorry, and count the days on the conservative side.
