Just received the RQ...

Application submitted: Dec 2011
Staring to process: Nov 2012
RQ letter issued: Mar 2013

And I am wondering how to filling it... Especially there are so many addresses needed to be filled in this form, including living address and properties. Should I only fill the city / country for them, or they want the full address of each?

Thank you :)

Hi Via
My friend sent all her documents except CBSA report, she submitted it after a month, so its ok, just explain them that its taking long for CBSA
Also i never wrote any letter regarding one year cash rental, i just had 2 checks which i made to cash and in memo it was mentioned for rent, i sent them
copies of that with my lease agreement, they can see i was withdrawing rent money every month from my account.
Just get the lease(sub lease) and if possible highlight the cash withdrawals if you can.

Hello, I got a RQ last week from Vancouver CIC. I found on Absence from CANADA session on the Form, they mentioned if I consent about travel history from CBSA,then I do NOT need to request it directly to CBSA. It means that I don't need to write down about my travel history on the form or I can write down as much as I know the dates(I forgot some day trips dates)Or.If I don't know exactly dates of day trips, then I also have to request my travel history by myself to CBSA without consent it on the form. Please let me share your information. It is very difficult to find information about RQ, moreover I don't have enough to time to deadline. Thanks~

Do I get RQ?

Hi there

I have my citizenship test in three weeks. I wonder if I get a RQ. During the four years period time, I went to my home country twice. After finishing the first trip, when I return to Canada, the passport officer forgot to put the arrival stamp on my passport. But I do have the departure stamp from my home country. I do have my flight details and ticket numbers. I have my employment records also. In my application, I did give consent to the CIC to collect the history of my entries from CBSA.

Meanwhile, I also applied to CBSA, but not sure that I will get the report before my test. There are no issues with the second trip, as I have both stamps on my passport. Given this scenario, do I get RQ? Can someone help me on this? What records I have to take the test Centre? What explanation I have to provide to convince the officer over there to avoid RQ?

Your help will be appreciated.

Hi, I am new here. Unfortunately, my husband got RQ. My family, me, him and our son submitted application last Sept. My question is: should we only submit documents relating to him, like his passports (not the whole family)?
Too much work to do. Headache!
Thank you for your answer.

In addition to the address question above, I just wanted to make sure though I am filling out the residence questionnaire right.

For some questions, the Dates are required with the the FROM and TO.

Should I write just the Dates in question or should I write "PRESENT" for the TO field if for example my work applies until Present?

Thanks for you help in advance!

Applied in feb 2010

Hello Everyone,

I submitted my citizenship application on May 2012, just received RQ two days ago, Jun17th2013. Quite shocked and sad about the decision made on my application. Thought my case was quite simple and clear, wonder what went wrong!

I just prepared the list of all he docs I am going to attach to the questionnaire. Please have a look and let me know if I missed anything important:

Dentist visit records
Family doctor visit records
Specialists records
Latest Employment Letter
Tax Records including notice of assessment and other documents that they have requested in the questionnaire
Residential Property mortgage and Title Papers
Rental leases and rent receipts
Bank statements (Chequing and Visa)
Car and Life Insurance policies
Naturopath Bills

I also have a question about the day trips to the US. i have been to Buffalo a lot of times for shopping and returned the same day. They never stamped my passport for my entry back into Canada. I dont have any records of thos dates either. I was in the impression that we only write the dates that we have spent the nights out of the country. Is that true? or do I need to provide information regarding my day trips too??

Thanks in advance. Good Luck to all!!

Who issued your RQ? Local Office (which one?) or Sidney? You should tell from the envelope you received the RQ in. Also what is the address on the RQ letter itself and where do you have to send it back to - Local Office or Sidney? CIC issuing pre-test RQs now if initial checks in Sidney flag up a concern under a triage format e.g. unemployment with travel.

That's an interesting point Msafiri!

I checked my form. The envelope has a stamp of Immigration section Sydney but the letter says Kitchener office on top right and that's where I am supposed to send all my forms too as well.

What does this mean?

Hi there

While answering the RQ, if the space is not enough, we are asked to give our answers in a separate sheet. My question is, can we type our response in this sheet or we have to only write by using pen.

Another question is, it looks like I have to submit around 500 pages. How u guys organized them before putting inside the envelope. Just send as loose sheets or we have to bind them. If yes, how?

Can anyone help me on this? Your response will be appreciated.
