Hi everyone,

I am currently working for a British company, remotely in Canada, while still keeping my permanent address, bank account, insurance in France.

Could someone tell me how to fill in my residence history? Should I say that I am in Canada (and explain in the letter of explanation that I am just working remotely)? Or just say that I am in France? I am in Canada on a tourist visa, but have no ties to Canada (other than paying a pay-as-you-go phone contract).

I'm concerned that they may think I am working illegally in Canada (which is not the case). Also, can you apply for EE from Canada without being a resident? I have currently only mentioned my permanent address in France.

Thank you

If you are physically living in Canada then you have to tell them what is your current address. Your current address is the place where you are physically living at the moment. If you say you are in France, your passport stamps will say otherwise.
