Hi Guys,

Need some advice..I am filling up the residence calculator to calculate my residency (i.e to prove i have been here more than 1095 days)..but a small confusion.

I became a PR of Canada on 20 July 2008. Landed here, completed all my formalities and went back to US.I had mentioned this also to the immigration officer that I have started the paperwork in US to get permanently transferred here.

Followed up with my company in US and got permanently transferred to the Canadian office on 01 June 2009.

Now how do i fill the online form..do I put both A - (Enter the date when you first came to Canada to live) and B - (Enter the date you became a permanent resident of Canada) as 20 July 2008..then show a absense for 11 months and start from the date I moved here...i.e 01 June 2009.??

If I put A as 01 June 2009 and B as 20 July 2008, I get an error message mentioning "The date when you first came to Canada to live (A) must be the same as or before the date you became a permanent resident (B).

Advice appreciated.

Regards,

All,

Just to add..from 01 June 2009 to 01 Dec 2012 (subtracting days outside the country for holidays etc), I have completed 1200 days within Canada crossing the pre-requisite 1095 days by almost 3 months.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
For both A and B, enter 20th of July 2008. Then hit Continue and go through the next questions. When they asked if you left Canada during the past 4 years, say yes. They will give you a chance to enter your absences from Canada. Fill out the first one as being from July 2008 whenever you left again after your landing until June 1st 2009 if that is when you came back for good. Add this absence. Then add other absences you may have had from Canada for vacation for example if any. Then hit Calculate. Then your calculation will be done. Hit print and you are done.
