Resend Application due to Strikes

Hi All,

I sent my application on November 3rd. Since the 6th it's been sat in customs in Montreal and neither Royal Mail or Canada Post can provide any updates.

If I was to resend my application via FedEx would I face any issues with CPC Sydney? If I put a cover letter stating that I've resent my application in fear of it getting lost / severely delayed, will that suffice or will I face issues with duplicate applications?

I'm stressing with the delays and know that each week missed is one extra week on to the already long wait for AOR1.

the delay is very frustrating......but try give it a week.

I was thinking of waiting till the 26th anyway. If it’s not released from customs by that date then I’ve very little hope of it getting delivered anytime this year with the backlog that’s built up.

There seems to be many circumstances since this summer causing delays.
Like the: Flood of outland applications June, July, Aug, this year.
The CIC outland processing centre move from Mississauga to Sydney.
The Canada post labor dispute.

It will be a long process, so a few weeks here or there probably not make much difference.
My hope would be the paperwork just not get lost and that there are 'dedicated professional
employees' at the CIC centre that understand the importance of Family.

I guess at some point you could call CIC but I would wait for a while.
Kick back and relax......Have a beer ....or two.

It was delivered today thankfully. I feel like the weight of the worlds off of my shoulders now
