Hi can admin or someone pls advise. I jus saw that I have update on my tracker saying oath scheduled for Sept 9 ( no email yet ). I am however traveling outside Canada from 5th to 15th ( srsly bad luck that oath got scheduled this time only :/ )
What can I do? Can I call them to have it pre-poned? Would postponing make my application really delayed??

My app history -
AOR - Apr 24
BG completed - June 1
Citizenship Test - June19
LPP completed - Aug 14
Office - SCR

All I can tell you is that people who rescheduled oath since March are still waiting for the new date.
if you can, try and attend your ceremony and be over with it. Ask for E certificate and go to the embassy where you’re traveling to for a passport. Well that’s what I would do in yours situation.

Hi Thank you for the response. Looking at the various forums, it seems there is a minimum 6 month wait for rescheduling. In that case I am planning to reschedule my travel plans so I can fly back to Canada for my oath ceremony and then return to my trip outside Canada. My concern now is how fast can I get a passport?
My oath ceremony is in-person so am I able to apply for a passport immediately? Can you advise

Yes you can apply for a passport immediately you have your certificate. And you can apply for same day or next day processing as long as you show a flight ticket that leaves in 48 hours.

Hi,
My oath is in person (even though I applied online for e-certificate) so I should receive my certificate at the ceremony correct ? And then I can apply for passport immediately online. I have booked my flights already (saw the note about surrendering PR card too late) so I would need passport same day.
I really hope it is possible.

For in-person e-certificate is not provided on the spot. It takes time. Unlike paper which is given on the spot.
