Reschedule Video Oath ceremony-Citizenship

Folks, my wife could not appear for her oath ceremony with her father's demise. She is now back in Canada and sent a request to CIC for a new Oath date. I see that the tracker has been updated - Oath has been reset to NOT STARTED and BG which was COMPLETED has been reset to IN PROGRESS. Anyone experienced this with BG reset ? Could this be a long wait from here on ?

Did she do FP for her BG verification?
 
Nope. She applied for citizenship in Oct 2022 from within Canada. She was never asked for FP.

I am not sure if IRCC started doing it like they need PCC for any 183+ days stay outside Canada.
But that was always before you apply for citizenship. Not after.

BG would only go back In Progress only in case of FP as its valid for 1 year.

YEAH that s why I was so much curious why his wife 's BG goes back in progress

Very surprising to me as well. And moreover, she went to India only in Jan and not been outside Canada for long for them to run a background check all over again.
