Hi all
this is a complex question....

i landed in february 2017 with my family, and have been here since then. my wife and child went back to India and will arrive here in december 2017. there will be a 10-11 month gap between their 1st entry(short landing) and next landing.

will this affect our PR renewal later? will they face any tough questions at port of entry?

please let me know if anyone has had such a long gap in bringing in their dependants, had any experiences at port of entry or any trouble?

Absolutely no problem provided they have 2 years that is 730 days of residence in Canada between Feb 2017 and Feb 2022. Gap is not an issue.

It's not complex at all. As long as they don't spend 3 years outside Canada within 5 years after landing as PR, then there will be no problem as they will be in compliance with the residency obligation.
