requirement to stay inside Canada after PR

Guy, anybody knows whats a requirement to stay inside Canada once i get PR and landed? How long it takes to get all documents after landing and do i have to stay inside while waiting document issuance?
I have field job with rotation 1 month work one month off. Will it be possible to keep it?

Hi Jaxax,

In general you must stay 2 years out of 5 inside Canada in order to maintain your PR status, but there are some exceptions (living with a Canadian citizen abroad, working for a Canadian company abroad, etc.). You can read all about it here:

After landing you're supposed to receive the PR card in the mail within 4-8 weeks. If you don't want to wait for it all that time you can have a friend or family member receive it and then mail it to you (Canadian government won't mail the card outside Canada).
