required Passport Validity

I am an aspiring applicant for permanent residency in Canada with my application currently under process at CIC. I would like to know what is the minimum passport validity required to get a PR visa stamped on your passport. My passport will be expiring in March 2017, and i m still waiting to get a passport submittion request by Sep 2016 from CIC.

Also, if i get my passport renewed now, will it be possible for me to upload my renewed passport to my already submitted application?

Kindly help me find answers for this as i am not able to decide whether i should be going for a passport renewal now

You can renew your passport and submit the scanned copy through case specific enquiry or mail it to them quoting your file number. No issues.

If your application is succesful and your passport is requested to stamp the PR visa in it, it must have at least 6 months validity at that time. If by the time your passport is requested for and it has less than 6 months validity left, simply renew and update the Visa office processing your application accordingly.

Is the PR visa stamped as per the validity of your medicals ( 1 year from medicals)?

In my case my medicals validity date is before my passport expiry date. So in such a case, will the PR visa be stamped as per the medicals validity date?

Hello All I am also in the same situation I just go the following Informational Letter from cic

I have submitted my application on the 21 June and my pp validity is Oct 2017 and My wife's pp validity is June 2017.
I am not sure weather do we need to renew the pp immediately or not please help. I assume i may get our pp request in November
so I don't want to get struck at that time to submit my current passport getting it back from embassy please help.
