She doesn't need to show any specific amount of income, as long as she is not receiving welfare. However, she does need to explain how she supports herself and how she plans to support you for the next 3 years since she is not technically working and not reporting any income.hiren1606 said:my sponsor (wife) working in private store and paid salary in cash. so it is ok to in spouse sponsorship application.
Hence, working illegally.since she is not technically working and not reporting any income.
working for a private company/person and geting paid in cash is not "working illegally". technically, it's tax fraud/evasion since the income is not being reported. they are not one in the same.Regina said:Hence, working illegally.
Agree, it is not illegal in terms of immigration rules, but being paid by cash and not reporting income- is a tax fraud. Do not think CIC will accept either of it.working for a private company/person and geting paid in cash is not "working illegally". technically, it's tax fraud/evasion since the income is not being reported. they are not one in the same.
Your wife will have no problems sponsoring, as long as you both demonstrate how you will support each other.hiren1606 said:my sponsor (wife) working in private store and paid salary in cash. so it is ok to in spouse sponsorship application.
she doesn't have to be employed for 12 months, she needs to show the income she's received in the past 12 months. it doesn't matter how long she's been with her current employer. it is not a requirement for the sponsor to be employed.hiren1606 said:Thank for prompt reply.
But i also worried about one question.
My sponsor(wife) has recantly joined job on june 1st 2016 and her 12 months not completed so how can report income and what mention in application, please advice..,,
Thank you.
yes, CRA does enforce, if they find out there can be serious problemsyijiequ said:lol..why do you guys all assume she does not report income? just cuz paid by cash.. what the..
lots of people are employed and paid by cash. from pizza drivers to tipped jobs. paper boys.. day labours.
being paid by cash isn't illegal; some people choose not to report.. CRA doesn't really enforce anyway.
i'm not sure what you mean. there is no link. you need to read the sponsor's application and answer the questions about income. there is a specific question in there about how much income was made in the previous 12 months. there is required documentation needed for showing previous year's income (used to be option c, not sure if it still is) if there is no income, then there is no income. if there's no option c, then there's no option c. again, income is not a requirement to sponsor a spouse. CIC is using this information to see whether the sponsor has used welfare in canada before and/or if it's likely they would use welfare once the pr application is approved.hiren1606 said:Can you provide me the link for showing income or tax return.
you know? it took me almost 80 days for SA. i believe CIC might try to verify my income. I am self-employed person. in order to pay less payroll tax; i pay myself as dividend. so this way i can pay the lowest tax rate as a corporation..hiren1606 said:Thank you for giving valuable information.
