This forum has been helpfull. Thanks to everyone for contributing.

I have a typical situation. I have got the Passports stamped for myself, wife and Kid (Canadian PR). We need to complete the canada landing to get the Permenant residency card. I live in USA and working on H1. My wife came to USA on H4 and then converted to H1 and have a US born kid.

My Parents are visiting me in united states next month and plan to visit nigara falls with us. We plan to return to united states after completing the Canada Landing using the AVR. My Parents have a return flight from US.

Option 1: Go to Niagra falls with Parents and family. While Parents looks around nigara falls from new york; in the mean time, me and my family do the Canada landing and come back with 3-4 hours.

Option 2: Apply for Canadian tourist visa for my parents in united states and enter canada.

Is it advisable to take parents and do the landing. which above option is better.
Also, Can AVR be used , if wife has changed from H4 to H1. Any advice iwill be appreciable.

I wud advice to choose option 2, only if you can wait for their tourist visa. (it typically takes about 30 - 45 days).

Otherwise, choose Option 1. I just wrote my landing experience, mine is a very similar case to yours !

Send me a PM, if u have more questions !

Thanks kummy for your advise.

Me and my wife are working on H1B in united states.
My Wife had converted from her visa from H4 to H1 and does not have stamping on her passport. Using the AVR rule, do you think, it might be an issue.

Kindly advise.

I don't think so...I have read on this forum that many have come back into the US with AVR.

If you can take ur parents to Canada as a Tourist, do so ! Niagara falls is so beautiful from Canadian side ( I know you already knew this fact)......
