Hi All, Guru's

I will be doing my canada landing this week. I will coming by rental car from usa.

I have never driven in canada. Are the driving rules in canada similar that of usa.

I only have liability car insurance. is it okay.

Do i need to get any other specific documents other then the rental car company provides(default).

Does the Ezpass (united states) works in canada.

I will be returning to united states using the avr rule within 3-4 days.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks.

>> not big difference, check for the road speed, it is in kms and not miles. No I-series highways, you will see 400 series.

>> it is ok

>> Canada do not have Ezpass, highways are toll free except 407( avoid it- in GPS choose -No toll roads). You will have to pay the bridge charge once of $3, It can be in US $ also.

Thanks for sharing the information. It was helpful.

Can we carry food (rice, ready to eat food) - Small quantity from usa to canada.
Is there any restrictions on foods.

Thanks

baby food, rice, ready to eat, spices are all ok. Meat, alcohol, smoke has upper limit.
I have travelled many times USA -Canada , no questions have been ever asked, except for smoke and alcohol.
