I lost my card certificate last year and finally received an e-certificate today. I realized I made a grave mistake by checking off the WRONG checkbox on the application form ( I can only reapply by paper)

My original intention was to get a PAPER certificate, never an electronic one...
Can I still apply for a paper certificate even though I already received an electronic one? How should I go about fixing my mistake? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, please. I really do not want a digital ID.

Print it. Problem solved. Don't bother IRCC with this, with people still waiting 7 months to get their oath after their LPP have been completed.

Are you facing any issues with e-certificate?

Not yet, but theres something unnerving about not having a real physical copy... what if i got hacked? or the IRCC got hacked? and especially i do NOT trust digital IDs.
I tried calling the IRCC and it never ever got through, right now I'm thinking about changing my name and reapply for a PAPER one if all else fail.

Thanks for reply

Paper is only a single copy and based on your past experience it getting lost and destroyed is pretty high. Digital e-certificate you can have multiple copies. In your laptop, cloud storage, in your email etc. You always have the option to login to IRCC account and download a copy. The chance of all of this getting hacked together is pretty low.

Don't waste your time getting your name changed n all.

Really? nobody knows if the IRCC can change my cert format or not? I just want to know before spending another $75... well ok then, thanks anyways
