so requested GM notes beginning of April and today email came through but it was just a copy of our application sent back to us in PDF format with tick marks against signitures? What a waste of time and still non the wiser whats going on with the file?!

At this time only you can reapply for GM notes.

It sounds like you requested "Physical File" instead of "Notes in Electronic File".

Appears either they made a mistake or you did when you chose from the drop down menu - Case notes, case file, etc

Same situation happened to me also. I choose physical file instead of electronic..But dnt think its waste ..I right now got electronic note.In that i found mistakes ...they wrote my cec qualify period from June 2011 till june 2014....I was not even in Canada during Jun 2011.. So i double checked my physical file whther i did any mistake..

No, that is not a mistake, what that means is that your work experience qualifying time is 12 months in the preceding 36 months so they count back from the date of your last day of work or when your applied if you are still working.

why on earth would i want a copy of my application a whole 183 pages of it!!! what a joke ???

the only thing remotely of any help, if you can call it that is that it says 'review required/sent on 14 November 2014' - nearly 6 months to do a second review and no update on it from that date..

still waiting on MR never mind anything else

If you feel your application is in good shape why don't you do upfront medicals my friend?

pfft rather have a cucumber, least it would be beneficial in some way! i don't want to do upfront medicals purely for the fact my Ecas status hasn't changed since April 2014 and they have done nothing with my file since November 2014 - a whole lot of money to waste if there is a problem

Bro/Sis - mine was the same, until FA had happened to my file and then things started happening. Keep in mind how CIC operates - they keep an "inventory" of applications to process and release them as files get moved along, appear they do certain things in batches, that's why I think they should get some consultant like PwC to do a review and streamline things, maybe go continuous processing like an assembly line in an auto factory with return routes to previous work centres if necessary. But all this will be history soon because EE is in place.
