Hi everyone, I notice that other people are in my same situation. I landed to Canada (Rainbow Bridge) with my wife on Oct16 2018. Today (Dec07) I got email from CIC to re-submit the two photographs. They don't explain why they were rejected. Anyway I will go tonight to take them again and resend. In any case I'm travelling on Dec12 to Italy (my home country) knowing that we have to apply for the PRTD.

So, I see a profile update status on both of our applications. I am thinking that this means our package was opened. I am also hoping that they find the photos acceptable and send us our PR cards within a few weeks.

Regards,
Srini.

Hello guys,

I talked to the CIC agent today and was told to resend the photos for my initial PR card today. Wondering to which mailing address I have to resend my photos?
And any other documents needs to be included in the package along with my new photos?

Thank you!

I hope you have received all your PR cards by this time.
I am currently within Canada and do you know if I can send my new photos through UPS instead of Canada Post? I read somewhere that I am only allowed to use Canada Post when I send a mail related to PR document.

Anyone with November photo request got their cards recently? I fear it might get delayed until January due to holiday season.

Landing Date: 18 September 2018
Photo Request: 17 November 2018
Photos Delivered: 23 November 2018

Since then no update.

Does anyone know why they request new photos? I don’t understand why this is necessary since we send photos with passport.
Also, would I be able to get these second photos ahead of time and take to IRCC Landing interview in order to save time?

Not sure if UPS can deliver to PO Box addresses. That is the only issue. I am in the US, the only service that could deliver to PO Box addresses was USPS. FedEx/UPS couldn't do it.

Hi Srini. Congrats and thanks for the timeline! One question.

My son's PR card application did not have any update so I enquired CIC today and got the response that I need to re-submit photos for my child. But I did not get email notification yet. I read somewhere that for children they send letter to address instead of email. Was that the case with your son?

Did you ask them the processing time as well?

No I did not. Do you know how long it would take for the child's photo request letter to reach the address, assuming they sent it sometime last week.
you can ask them to send it over email. I don't know about the delivery time as all of my request were sent over email.

I tried. This time they sent a generic response that my query was answered previously.

Can anyone confirm how long does it take for these physical letters to arrive at a Canadian address from the date of notification put in the letter?
