Request Letter: Bio page of your passport

Hi,

Has anyone received a request letter for the bio page of his passport during the eligibility period?

It is the same passport I uploaded when I created my application but it got requested again

In order for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to continue the process of your citizenship application, scanned copy or photo of your Passport bio page or travel document page held during your eligibility period is required. If you do not have a travel document or passport, please provide an explanation.

You must provide a colour copy, please.

Please reply to this message, without deleting the subject of the email and include your file number beginning with the letter C**** in the subject of your email.

It looks weird, it doesn't look like an email that sent from the IRCC. Just my thoughts.
I suggest you check the email address carefully.

I was asked for this after submitting my app. Related to questions on all travel documents I had during the last 5 years. Any gaps in passport etc. Once provided, application passed to next stages.

No. I don't have travel gaps. All the dates I mentioned in my application were extracted from my passport stamps and airline tickets. I grabbed all the airline tickets I had when I left Canada and used the departure + arrival dates since they are the most accurate.

I only went to USA by road once for 2 days. There is no stamp on the passport for this trip. But few friends of mine went road trips to USA and it did not happen with their application so I'm wondering.

When I looked online I found that people who reported passport request reported getting a request for all passport pages + stamps during the last 5 years (eligibility period).

My E-mail only asks for Bio page of my passport which is similar to the one I applied with.

How long did it take to get a response/update after submitting your scanned passport pages?

Hi I was asked to send full passport scan copy last Friday.. My prohibitions and physical presence are pending.. rest all are completed.. I sent passport copy on Monday by replying to the mail.. Anyone have any idea how much time it would take after sending passport copy to complete the rest and for oath?

I read this request as to submit bio pages of all travel documents that you held during eligibility period. You if you have an existing expired passport need to send info for that one as well.

Such request is mainly to verify physical presence. It is advised to check if translation of entry and exit stamps is needed.
In my case it took IRCC 3 weeks, during Christmas, to update LPP to completed. Oath complete 6 weeks after that.
