Hi,

Do we need to place our application number at the back of the check or just the name of the principal applicant.

Thanks.

my question is the bank draft from canada is acceptable to philippines? is it a two seperate bank draft? one for me and one for my husband? he is the principal applicant or can we use one bank draft amounting of Cad $980? and after the payment gaano pa katagal bago magrequest ng pasport? at san ipapadala ang pasport? kc sa CIO-NS din sya ngpasa ng application under PNP din.
salamat poh. God bless.. I BELIEVE BANK DRAFT FROM CANADA IS ACCEPTABLE...WE PAID OUR RPRF THRU BANK DRAFT ISSUED HERE IN THE UAE. WE USED ONE DRAFT ONLY AMOUNTING TO CAD 980.00 (FOR ME AND MY SPOUSE). SINCE MANILA ANG VISA OFFICE NAMIN, SA MANILA NAMIN PINADALA ANG PASSPORT, SA MANILA RIN NANGGALING LAHAT NG CORRESPONDENCE AFTER ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RECEIPT FROM CIO

I wouldn't expect that. It is more likely you received a generic form letter that was not specific to what you have submitted. However, you should contact the visa office to confirm.

You might also wish to order your GCMS notes to ensure they have received all your documents.

I got same generic form letter specifically asking me to pay RPRF in bullet item. Please disregard other document requrements.

Hi! I received a letter from canadian embassy manila requiring for medical examination and RPRF payment. Problem is there is no specific instruction where should I send the bank draft...pls help

Hi Computergeek,
Thank you so much for your valuable inputs. I am advising VO that my wife is currently pregnent and will be having delivery in the month of either Sep or Oct'2013 to avoid any issues later.

Generally, once they have the RPRF registered in the system you get a PPR. That generally takes 1-3 months.

Hey guys

I have some questions...

Is there any chance for refusal after medical? And how long it will take as average after medical done ?

If refusal, is there any chance for appeal ?? And how ??

All replies would be highly appreciated.
Thx a lot in advanced

I've read of refusals at the point of landing. They are rather rare, but until you have become a permanent resident you can be refused. Your appeal rights remain the same throughout the process.

At landing, they ask you three questions: is this the address to use when sending your PR card, have you been charged with a criminal offence (not previously declared) and have you declared all your family members?

If you were to admit to a criminal offence, the CBSA officer will refuse to allow you to land as you may have become criminally inadmissible. The Visa office will need to be advised and they will either refuse your application or they will confirm your application.

If you have not declared all your family members (e.g., you were married, qualified as common-law under Canadian law or had a non-Canadian child born recently) then the CBSA officer should refuse to allow you to land - because otherwise that person is excluded by law from being considered a member of the family class. CBSA is actually doing you a favour in this case - the saddest cases I've read are of someone who landed in Canada and goes back home to marry their partner, only to find out later that because they qualified as common law under Canadian law, they can never be sponsored in the family class by their (new) spouse.
