Request for passport and picture for visa pickup whats the pic for ?

Hey my husband was asked to bring a photo when he surrenders his passportto get his Visa.
Never heard of needing a photo.
Is this normal and what kind of photo just the same small photos for the application ?

I would assume it is a Photo ID to prove he is the correct person picking up the Passport.

Sorry I misread ur post. Yes u do need 4 photos when u submit ur passport. Ur husband should have received in the email or letter the photo specs. I think it was 35mmx45mm.

make sure you bring the specs to the photographer. pay special attention to the 25mm to 30mm head size

oh and i almost forgot. your husband has to write his full name and Date of birth on the back of only ONE photo. put it all in a small envelope and write the application number on it. cheers.
