request for an interview

Hello All,

Is an interview a good sign or a bad one. My husband finally got an answer back today on his second TRV to be present for the birth of our daughter, the interview is two days before my due date went to the Doctor today and he told me I shouldn't be expecting for another 3-4 weeks or so, so tight but it can be done. He was refused in September when I left him to come back to Canada to prepare for the birth. How should he be prepared? They kept all documents and passport and just sent the formal letter with the request for an interview. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As most TRVs are issued without an interview, so it is not a good sign. But most TRVs are refused without an interview, so I guess the VO has found your application a little "iffy" but is willing to interview to see if it should be issued.

But what could possibly be "iffy" with our application, all required documents were provided and a notarized letter from his parents in law. Im a little worried, do you know what he should expect. I am aware that most TRV's are issued without an interview but could it possibly be they want to see him face to face before a final decision and would he get the answer back the same day. PLease help me and thank you for your reply.

So he was refused at his interview, I am so hurt and disturbed. They now mention there isnt enough ties to prove that he and I will be returning to Jamaica after the birth of our child. Now there isnt enough time to re-apply for another trv and I believe it to be hopeless since we provided everything we possibly could including a guarantor letter from my parents. Please someone enlighten me.
