Request for Additional Documents - Regarding my marriage after Medical recieved

You and your wife's PR application will be delayed a few months if you notify them about the marriage before your PR application finalizes. On the other hand, if you notify after you become PR, it will take 1 year to 2.5 years depending on where you apply for family sponsorship.

So I would recommend to inform CIC now.

Hello Everyone,

I applied for my PR under Economic Class and my application was all processed and Decision was made on my application. I got PPR on March 2nd, 2015.

Then I got married on March 9th 2015 and Informed CIC. They asked me for additional documents for myself and my spouse. I sent all the required additional documents including Immigration forms, Questionnaires, PCC, Upfront Medical exam and other supporting documents. The Documents were received by CIC on May 27th 2015.

My questions to you all wonderful people here is: How long it will take now ?

Shall I apply for OWP or Visitor Visa ?

I have read all your comments and I hope all of you get PR along with your respective spouses soon.

CIC has been very uncertain about all these.
You can not predict.
I have gone through this process.

Hi guys
I just received PPR today from New Delhi. My spouse is in India and I am in Canada.
Does anyone know if she can send her passport to New Delhi office and I can send mine to Ottawa?

Or we both have to send it at the same time at same office?

Please advise.

congratulations...dats a very gud news ,as i read somewhere in dis forum about dis situation nd i think ur wife will hav to send her passport in delhi only nd urs in canada ....hope this is d right way but u can ask cic for better answer.... can u share ur timeline plzzz

She had to complete her medicals in India and I did mine here. I did mine on May 1/2015 and She did it on May 2/2015.

I sent all forms to CIC sydney nova scotia in march 2015 to add my spouse. I paid RPRF fee for me and myself in April. I got medical request for my wife in June yesterday. Anybody know what will be next step? Do they ask for additional doc's (like proof of marriage etc) after medical request of spouse or they request passport. Please advise me if anybody knows,

You will very likely get request for additional documents. So, better be prepared than sorry. and if they dont, then think that you got a deal from CIC. Once it's done and if everything is fine, you'll get passport request.

Month back i applied GCMS notes for myself and my wife so today i got them it says
eligibility- passed
security-blank
criminality-passed
medical- passed
verification done on --- and PA meets all program requirements.
please suggest what is going to be the next step?
