Hello

Im wondering if anyone has had a similar communication from CIC, or can offer any input. Im a June 9 2014 applicant and my wife is my sponsor. I got this email today requesting I complete a New Zealand Police check request and send it back to them. My wife revived another email herself, also today, which pretty much states shes been approved as a sponsor, but I have a couple of concerns:

1. I already completed this document when I sent my application last year so Im wondering why they need to complete it again?

2. Will this hold up my application? Because as far as Im concerned, the form was completed so they have everything they need to approve my PR and request the NZ police check. Do you think this will cause long delays in my application and will I go to the end of the queue again? Ive emailed the signed document this morning along with a copy of the letter I got and my passport

Any help is much appreciated

Is June 2014 correct? Thats a really long wait time for the Sydney office.

Its an inland application.

yeh its an inland application. it was received on June 9 by CIC. i tried calling the call centre but they had no idea what i was talking about

You're police certificate has expired so you need to get a new one. Do what ever you did last time to obtain one.

its not a police certificate though. for NZ, you need to sign a consent form that allows CIC to request the police certificate. thats the only way to do it

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/new-zealand.asp

if it is due to the form being outdated, and id understand if the consent form needs to be dated within a certain time frame, but it means that due to processing times, anyone who needs an NZ police cert is going to be delayed just as theyre about to get processed, and then CIC then need to request the certificate from NZ police, which is going to take a while, and by the time they attached the new consent form I sent this morning, it'll be even longer

also, I attached actual UK and Australian police certificates and there doesnt seem to be a problem with them

They probably lost it. Sign another one, scan it and email it back to them.
