Guys I sent an email to CHC London asking them if I can send officially certified photocopies of transcripts of all degrees in University sealed envelope and not original transcripts of degrees in university sealed envelope. Here is the reply I got from them. What you people think should I send them offically certified copies in sealed envelope or original transcripts in sealed envelope?? please comment. Thanks All.

Dear Mr,

Thank you for your enquiry.

You are not required to submit your original documents when submitting information in support of your application. Photocopies are acceptable. Notarized copies are not mandatory unless specified otherwise. The immigration officer may need to see the original copy of a document during the review process in which case you will be asked to send the original copy to our office.

However, you MUST submit your original police certificate(s) and language test results (if applicable). Also, translations must be notarized.

Yours sincerely,

Subject: Original transcripts in university sealed envelope

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am from Islamabad / Pakistan. I have applied for Canadian Immigration (Federal Skilled Worker class) for which I have received my fist AOR asking me to submit requisite documents within 120 days period. Your required documents list states as

(6) EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Transcripts. Original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university sealed envelope.

My query is that I have only one set of original transcripts issued by university and my university does not issue second set of originals unless the first set is lost. But they can provide certified copies of originals in university sealed envelope with University's Controller stamp and signature on the envelope. May I ask that can I do the same as university does not provide second set of originals.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind Regards

hi

I applied from YEMEN ( Middle East )

I know a number of applicant from Egypt sent certified photocopies of transcripts , and V.O did not ask them for the original one ,

and in general , if they need any other documents or the original university doc. they will request for it with the medical request

and this will not cause any delay in ur file.

This is my opinion

good luck

Hi :D

I applied from Mexico. I could not get the university sealed envelope and I did not send my originals transcripts, what I did was to get notarized copies of my documents along with a certified translation of each one without the u.s.envelope (but if you have the u.s.envelope send it) . I did not send originals and my application was accepted, or at least thats why I think since my cc was charged

Yes response is crystal clear. I did mention in the previous post somewhere that notarized copy is not mandatory unless an officer has asked so. I received the 90 days letter which clearly mentioned submit photocopies.

One question guys. When you open the London VO document checklist, the first para Appendix A, checklist reads

Gather documents as listed. Check () each item on the checklist and attach the checklist to your documents (a paper clip will do). Place all documents in a sealed envelope. Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates, which must be originals. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

As per this you need to submit notarized photocopies of ALL documents which are not original .

Any thoughts?

hi mobisheikh!

what you want to know here??

do you want to send notarised copies of documents which are not originals then yes you can do that, whats your query here??

what i conclude from above it means you have to send originals where asked like original birth certificate, police clearance, language proficiency, original transcripts but if any original is not available due to some reasons then surely you can send notarised copy mentioning that in a cover letter that you can't get originals.

Hi wxyz123,

I'm clear on the originals part. My question was regarding photocopies. In the above para which I copied it says "Send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates". So it is clear that they require notarized photocopies of all documents.
