Hi Guys,

I sent an e-case status check for my application using e-case on cic website. They replied me with the following email. What does it mean by Initial Assessment, when I have already got my second AOR. Is it that they are looking in their CIC old information ???

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.
Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

your 2nd aor means you have satisified the ministerial requirement on the application i.e. the list of 29 / arranged employment, etc. Now they will check your documents, etc to verifiy if you have 67 points and if all the information provided is genuine. Someone can verify if i am correct?

You are correct.

@@Aries: E-case status may not have current status on your application. Sometimes it get updates as and when your process is updated and sometimes on later days. So do not be confused. If you have received your 2nd AOR, that means now your file will be checked with all the documents you submitted. This is the process which take longer time then all other phases so just wait. If everything is ok with your documents and details you have submitted, you will get Medical Request or they will ask you for additional document if any.

it's been more than 2 months that my file is with Buffalo Office and they didnt request anything as of now. And Overall it's been more than 3 months since CIC transferd my File to Buffalo Office. I got my dated 2nd AOR on 27th April,2010. I am waiting since then to get my status changed -'IN Process' it is still Received by VO only...!!

i have got my 2nd aor on april 28th ... the only thing you can do is wait... from what i have seen, medical request happens between 3-12 months after you get 2nd aor.
