I kind of had the same situation for my work permit. Sent it for amendment via regular mail, and when I asked after the processing time passed by, they said they did not receive it.
After some Internet research, sent in a new application to get a replacement (registered). Hopefully all goes well this time.

What did you do and how much time did it take?

Hello Muktak,

I faced the same issues and then I tried to follow the steps given on the official site, which I suggest you as well follow, maybe the issue that you have can be resolved and you can get your study permit again: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...dence-valid-temporary-resident-documents.html
It is too late for any of these replies to be of good help to muktak.
I do think that the link you shared is helpful for people who want to 'correct' their permits, not to get a reprint of the permit. Because for amendment, you need to send the original document along with the application.

hey Bmanirudh,

Sorry, I do agree with you, but I just tried to help him if he is still facing the same issues, and I got success by following this path that I just shared, I know it won't help everyone but it was just a try to help him if this won't help anyone then I will try to find some other way and try to find something useful for all.

I was just saying. Don't take it too hard on yourself.
I was just making it clear that amendment is not the same as replacement.
Thanks for being helpful!
