REPLACEMENT NEEDED - SCHEDULE A FORM

Dear Friends.

Greetings.

I received a message in my express entry profile today (14 Nov 2019) which said that i must submit a Schedule A form.

I got my AOR on 27 Oct 2019. Can anyone guide me with the below questions:

1. What is the purpose of Schedule A form ?

2. Why have they asked me for this form ?

3. I submitted all the documents with complete details and i am 100% sure that my documents are complete. Then what can be the possible thing missing if they need this form ?

4. Also, it requires my name in Native language and also my signature. Should i first print the form, sign it and then upload the scan ?

They routinely ask people to submit this form with original signature. This form is in regards to your personal history and stuff. No gaps.
Complete, print, sign and scan to your CIC account.

In Schedule A, there is a field about Government positions which reads, "List any government positions (such as civil servant, judge, police officer, employee in a security organization) you have held."

I work for central bank of Pakistan and it is a semi-government institution. I don't get pension once i retire. I have a private/regular passport with annotations "Government employee".

Does that mean, in my form A, i should write this as Government position ? I am confused because i am not a civil servant, judge, police officer or employee in a security organization.

Any advice helps.

I recall a few applicants being asked for this. At the time (2015/2016), the consensus was that if the VO wants the confirm the information in the personal history section that you submitted during the PR application process, they ask you to fill this form up - I'm not sure if the reasons are the same now.

IMO, you shouldn't worry too much about it. Just submit the form with the information they've requested for and you should be good.

Well, this might the reason why they've requested this Schedule A form. What did you mention in your e-APR? I would recommend not having conflicting information between your PR application and the schedule A.

In cases like this, a Letter of Explanation helps. If your passport has an annotation that says 'Government Employee' and you mentioned in your PR application that you are not, that might have raised some eyebrows.

To be honest, I wouldn't confirm if one or the other is right but here is my opinion. If you mentioned anything under government employment in your PR application, then you should stick to it and explain your position.

If you did NOT mention any positions under government in your PR application, you should stick to it and you should explain as to why you are 'not' technically a government employee. This is a bit more challenging because your passport has an annotation that says you are a government employee. You can ask around for the opinion of others and then make your decision.

Did you receive any other questions after filling up the form ? I am in the same boat - i feel like my form was 100% accurate but I was asked to submit a Schedule A form.

Hello @arnabnag and @avtarhooda ..... I was requested to submit schedule A twice.... First time, they requested to submit a digitally signed PDF copy .... Second Time, they requested the schedule A and requested that this time it should be signed by Hand. I complied with their instructions in both instances.

I think submitting hand signed copy in the first attempt is the best thing an applicant can do.
