Hi,

Back in 2000, when I was a minor, my parents applied for Canadian immigration and successfully got it. We flew to Vancouver and stayed there for approximately 10-12 days. In that time we got our SIN cards. Nothing electronic at that time. However, due to personal and professional reasons, my parents decided against it and we moved back.

Now that I've applied for immigration, will that create an issue? I emailed the Embassy in my country and they said they can't find a record but asked for more details. I still haven't received a reply from them.

Anyone in the same boat?

Yes this is an issue. You landed along with your parents and became a PR in 2000. So if your status hasn't been officially revoked by IRCC, you are still a PR to this day.
You could either, apply to voluntarily give up your PR status first, then apply for PR again, or depending on how old you are now, apply for a PRTD under H&C ground since you were removed from Canada as a minor by your parents.

You need to Renunciate ur existing PR before ur apply for new one.Technically u r already a PR so u cannot reapply.I have done the same.
Now unless they cannot find ur record as u said it was all paper then u might be ok.If there is no record there is no proof of ur old PR.So urs might be a different situation.I will inquire about ur old PR

Forget about your current process. NOI is meaningless to you now. You are still a PR, you can't submit another PR application unless you renounce your status first.

it sounds like you are in your 20s and never actually created ties to Canada so being approved for a PRTD based on H&C are very low. You can always try entering via the US border and hope that you don’t get reported. The chances are low but you could try. If you do enter you will have to stay in Canada for 2+ years, you can’t sponsor and spouse or child for over 2 years, you may have difficulty getting access to healthcare coverage, etc.
