Renting

I am a UK resident wanting to reside in the Calgary area of Alberta for 3 months or so. I know that British citizens can visit Canada for up to six months without a visa. But, I would like to know what the rules are for renting in Alberta. This would only be for the 3 months or so in which I will be staying. I won't be working, there. Do I need a visa of some kind, or something else?

Any help will be appreciated.

No, you do not require any visa, you could rent for 3 months (provided you find one).
