Hey people, I have a question regarding my PR situation and would like some advice on the best path forward.
I lived for over 5 years in Canada (studied and worked) and got my PR in 2019. I moved back to my home country less than a year after I got my PR because of Covid and did not go back to Canada after that (found a job in my home country).
Now I'm interested in moving back to Canada. My PR is expiring next year, and I will not have the minimum of 2 years spent in Canada to renew my PR. I also got married and need to get a spouse dependant PR for my wife.
Considering this situation, it seems to me that the best way forward would be to renounce my PR and apply for Express entry with my wife as dependant. I should have 500+ points given my study and previous work experience in Canada.
If someone has been in a similar situation, could you please advise on if this is indeed the best path to take and if I'm missing something. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance.
