Renewing TRV for Student Visa

Hello Guys, after 5 Months I received my Study Permit Extension. I have to apply for TRV in order to travel to my country and return back. I am leaving in November 3rd Week and I applied for TRV. Its been 1 week, I didn't get any response from the government. My 1st question is what if I send my passport for issuing TRV and I didn't receive it back within the time? and my other question is Can I apply TRV in India? but as of now, VFS Global in India is closed. So, how can I reentry to Canada with a genuine TRV?

Covid is a piece of*** everyone is in trouble.. anyways, if your stay is longer and if vfs open in india you can have TRV done in india. But I believe you had already applied for TRV from here (canada) so adress matters. In Canada applications are really slow processing and in india vfs are like updating information everymonth 30th that extending for 30more days.. all are sick with it.. now point is that you can apply from india but thing is what if vfs isn't operating at the time you needed to fly.? Simple ans is Yes you can apply from india as well, and in Canada you can't send your passport until they ask you for.. if they ask you to send then I guess you can call IRCc and double check with them about time frames.. airlines don't understand all this so watch for your tickets refund as well..

Buddy if I were you, I would hold off on traveling plans to India. Cases are high and you don’t have your TRV on hand. We can’t even speculate when VFS india will resume their operations again.
