Hello everyone :)

I am a Canadian citizen since 1988. I got married in 1990 in India and sponsored my wife. She came to Canada in 1991 as landed immigrant. We have 2 sons born in Canada. We returned to India in 1995 for some family reason. I am returning back to Canada with my sons (who are also citizens of Canada) in a few months. However my wife's landed immigrant status has probably expired as she never visited Canada after 1995.

I wish to take her with me. Please suggest the process by which she can accompany me to Canada.

I have read about Travel document. Can she get the Travel Document because she is the spouse of a Canadian citizen living outside Canada or do I have to sponsor her all over again after reaching Canada?

Please advise.
Thanks in advance. :)

Yes - she should be able to get a Travel Document without any issues.

Make sure you include proof in the application that you are a Canadian citizen and that you and your wife have been living together outside of Canada since 1995.
