Renewing an OWP received during PR application

Hello everyone,

How easy is it to renew an OWP (open work permit) once it's received during the PR process? Reason is because my wife is almost due for stage 1 of the PR process but her passport expires in December, which would only leave her with a few months on the OWP. Is it easy to renew? Any suggestions?

I have absolutely no idea, however, if it is relatively easy for her to obtain a new passport without jumping through a bunch of hoops and flying all over the world, I would renew the passport BEFORE it is expired and an OWP is issued. You are doing an inland application, based on your signature, so it is relatively easy to get them to change the information.
