Renewed Work Permit and VISA

Hi Friends,

I was in Canada on Closed Work Permit (Intra Company Transfer) for an year from September 2013 to September 2014.
I was working for a Client A during this period in my company. I had applied for an extension of Work Permit (WP) while I was working for Client A. (My VISA is expired)

However, my work didn't get extended and they had to roll me off from the project and I had to come back to India. I am still working for the same company.

I received my renewed Work Permit which has the Employment Location as "Mississauga".
Once I came back another Client B (Same company) hired me and planning to me send me back to Canada. However, when I informed that I just need renewed VISA my company is informing that either:

-> I have to go through the same process of getting a new Work Permit along with my VISA as my clients have changed, OR
-> If my Roles and Responsibilities match they say then I can just apply for a renewed VISA

Today the concerned team in the company sent an email stating the below:

"Please be informed that our onshore team reasons that Work Permit issued for Mississauga location cannot work in Toronto region, however they will be seeking clarification with our attorneys to get it clarified. We will keep you posted once we have an update."

Please let me know if I am eligible:

-> for renewed VISA (since my roles and responsibilities match)?
-> to travel to Toronto along with my renewed WP though it has "Mississauga" as Employment Location? (since Mississauga is greater Toronto area)

Now a days temporary foreign workers are scrutinized like anything.

so the best answer can be given only by your employer/visa team in your company.

My company VISA team has come up with the following suggestion:

To go ahead with VISA renewal and travel with a risk stating in Canada Airport that I have switched clients (new client name will be in POE letter provided by the company) but my job roles are the same as my previous client, - also inform them that I will be working in the location mentioned in renewed WP. If the authorities permit me then it is fine, if not I will be asked to travel back to India right away from the Airport.

Please let me know based on your experiences, if I will be asked to step in Canada or will be asked to travel back to India

FYI - I submitted my work permit along with my VISA to the POE. He didn't ask me any questions (my company was wrong) and granted me entry without any issues.

Hi, I'm also on an Intra-company permit that expires in November.I'll be completing 1 year and 10 months when the permit expires. If my company wants to renew it,will an LMIA be required?my position is LMIA exempt. Thanks in advance!
