Renewed Passport POST AOR

Hello,

I have submitted my PR application 3 months ago, I just renewed my passport and want to submit the new passport to IRCC.
Is CSE the only way to submit renewed documents. After submitting CSE do we get any confirmation number and how do we come to know if they successfully updated the application with new passport.
In the application, the PCC I submitted has old passport number as that was current passport while submission, will they ask for new PCC with renewed passport number?

The old PCC should be fine as long as you clearly write a cse for you passport update. Cheers
