Landing with Renewed Passport. PR Visa on Old passport.

Hi Everyone, a quick update, called CIC canada after waiting for 40 mins on the phone. They said there is no problem in renewing passport and can land with both old and new passport as long as visa is valid.

Hey @jin13 , I am in similar situation. Did you eventually land with visa on old passport ? What was your experience like? Thank you.

Nothing there specify expired passport. It does mention any facts related to the visa issuance need to be disclosed, but that will be clearly shown in this case. Instead read page 73 of the same document, which specifically said:

Occasionally, documents containing valid visas are cancelled or replaced. If a valid visa inside an expired document is presented at the POE along with a valid passport or travel document, the visa is considered valid.
