Renewal of PR for dependent,principle did not meet PR obligation

I as the principle applicant for my family did not meet the obligatory requirement of 730 days to renewal PR. My children
has met the requirement.
Can my status affect my children for PR renewal? Due to family problem I cannot return to canada in
these few years to take care of family business.

I already makeup my mind to give up my PR. Will ask my children to sponsor me later,once they have obtained citizenship.

No, it won't affect your children's PR.

They can sponsor you any time they want, if they fulfill the requirements. Whether they are PRs or citizens makes no difference.

how old are your kids? as I understand you live separate.

Thanks alot this means,each pr holder is independent.Good news for me.
My children are 19 and 18.
