Renewal of passport before visa

Hi, I have already recieved my AIP and expect a visa soon. However my passport will expire a couple months before my graduation so should i get a new passport and update it thru webform or get a new one towards the end of this one and get a study permit extension.

Same situation. I think I will apply for extension in the end.
